Annual Institute & Trade Show

The Society holds an Annual Institute and Trade Show each spring which rotates around the state. Educational sessions featuring leaders from around the nation include tracks on a variety of issues relating to park, recreation and leisure services. Employees of all levels are guaranteed a rewarding variety of continuing education opportunities at the Institute. Combined with a trade show, the Institute provides a keen opportunity for vendors to interact with members of all levels, providing them information and research on the latest trends and technology available to enhance the field.

The 2010 Annual Institute & Trade Show is held in cooperation with Texas Parks & Wildlife and NRPA Southwest Region

Professional park, recreation and leisure service providers from all over Texas along with invitees from Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico and Oklahoma will converge in Frisco to take part in this annual educational training, networking and product sampling event. Showcase your product or service at our Annual Trade Show, March 3-4 for an opportunity to visit with key decision-makers and budget managers from PARDs, school districts, state parks, military installations, therapeutic recreation and long term care facilities, and other community services organizations. Texas Two Step Sponsorship


Our TRAPS vendors have been most supportive over the years, at both the state and regional levels. However, even Texas is experiencing some economic challenges these days; thus, the Texas Recreation and Park Society (TRAPS) has developed the Texas Two-Step Sponsorship Option for your consideration.
The Texas Two-Step Sponsorship Option, a joint pilot program between the TRAPS Institute and TRAPS Region 2/3, allows a vendor the opportunity to support TRAPS at multiple levels (state and regional).
